Calling all Swale based artists - Artists in the Woods : The GREEN Festival 2012

July 8th Oare Gunpowder Works Country Park 10-4pm

The Swale Arts Forum are happy to be organising this years GREEN EVENT in association with the Friends of Oare Gunpowder works, Swale Borough Councils Park Dept and Groundworks Medway .

This is a lovely, special and magical day out in the Woods for both artists from all genre and the visiting public alike. We need your support this year which will be bigger and better than ever.

Please join us - there will be a special meeting for anyone who wants to be involved at the Red Lion Sittingbourne High Street on Monday 14th May from 8pm

Oare Gunpowder Works - Gunpowder was manufactured at Oare for several centuries on a site that has become valuable for wildlife. Visitors are invited to follow the marked trails that lead through the woodlands and grassy glades, past the millpond and discover the remains of industry.
