Oare Gunpowder Works - Gunpowder was manufactured at Oare for several centuries on a site that has become valuable for wildlife. Visitors are invited to follow the marked trails that lead through the woodlands and grassy glades, past the millpond and discover the remains of industry.  
Oare Gunpowder Works Country Park is managed by Swale Borough Council in partnership with Kent Countryside Management Partnerships
