August

Watch over the pond as the sun sets and you may see bats hunting for flying insects. Both adults and young bats will be eating as much as they can to build up fat reserves. The reserves will supply enough energy for the bat to survive hibernation. With the improved hibernation facilities underneath the incorporating mills there may be an increase in bat sightings in the area. Nationally bats are in decline.
