July

The surface of the millpond is busy with pond skaters tapping out their territorial messages and you may see damselflies and dragonflies near the marshland, stream or pond. These large insects will sit in a prominent position and watch for interlopers. Sometimes they seem to buzz humans as they walk past. They will not hurt you but are just making sure you do not take their breeding territory.

Look at the wildflowers growing in the test range. During development this area was seeded with a wildflower mix.
