Visiting Oare Gunpowder Works Oare Gunpowder Works is a unique blend of heritage and wildlife. Visitors are invited to follow well-marked trails to discover the remains of one of the significant gunpowder works of the area and appreciate some of the wildlife of Kent. There is easy parking, well-marked trails
and several picnic areas. Interpretation panels are spread throughout
the site and there are more in the visitor centre.
